About Our Agency

RME Insurance traces its roots back to 1931 as the Eikenberry Insurance Agency in Flora. In 1991, RME Insurance, Inc. was formed as a merger of the Eikenberry Agency, the Stout Agency and the Michael Agency. In 1998, we opened our Lafayette office. RME Insurance, Inc. is owned by Robert Reef and Greg Michael. Both partners started in the insurance business in 1980. Our staff is made up of caring and conscientious agents, the kind of people you can depend on.
